L’usage d’Internet dans un dispositif d’autoformation en FLE : le cas d’un public en immersion
Use of the Internet with a self-learning tool for French as a second language: The case of a public immersion school
Abstract
Many research works show an interest in the Internet for the learning of French, whether it is used in a class or in a distance learning system. In line with this, our research work takes a keen interest in another learning situation : self-learning in a Language Resource Centre (CRL). In addition to other types of media, the Internet is considered one of the material resources available to the self-learners. Moreover, regarding an audience of Asian learners of French in France, our practical experience led us to notice that the learners in immersion favour the uses of the Internet in connection with their socialization process. This makes the Internet a tool of interaction between their learning of the French language and their daily life. By bringing together these contextual factors and these uses of the Internet, we offer to analyse the effect of the Internet on the learning of both French and autonomy.
