Abstract

Distance teaching (DT) became almost universal at universities when COVID-19 restrictions started. This paper reports on the impact of DT practices learned by university teaching personnel during the pandemic and their continued use after the return to in-person teaching.. Quantitative and qualitative results from a study of university teaching personnel at three points in time during 2020-2021 provide information about the evolution of DT and the accompanying perception of self-efficacy (SEP). Together, these reveal the prospects for the ongoing application of technico-pedagogical methods and tools after the pandemic. As a study participant noted: our teaching methods have changed forever.
