Analysis of Commitment and Well-Being in Learners in a Distance Learning Context, Based on Their Level of Study

Abstract

The aim of this study was to compare the commitment and well-being of learners according to their level of study in a distance learning context. To do this, a mixed quantitative and qualitativemethodology was used, involving a sample of 449 students enrolled in Bachelor’s 1 and Master’s 1 and 2 courses in Computer Science and Digital Sciences at the Université virtuelle de Côte d’Ivoire. Measurements revealed significant differences in the commitment and well-being dimensions for students at the Bachelor’s 1 and Master’s levels. More specifically, Master’s students showed a higher level of commitment and sense of well-being, overall.
