Abstract

The aim of this study is to measure well-being, academic engagement, and positive perception of technology of students in initial teacher training in French-speaking Belgium, thanks to a survey conducted in the autumn of 2023 (N = 175). In a context marked by a shortage of teachers and by a teacher training reform, it seems relevant to examine these concepts in order to gain a better understanding of what contributes to the development of a positive professional identity. The results indicate that academic engagement and a positive perception of technology are significantly linked to well-being, although no significant link could be established between academic engagement and a positive perception of technology.
